Bus Trip to the MFA or Gardner Museum

*Registration fee does NOT include museum admission or lunch. You must be a member of LLC to join the bus trip (Limit 28). Bus fee is non-refundable.
Are you longing for a visit to the MFA or the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston but don’t want to drive to Boston or take the train? Join us for an LLC sponsored bus trip. You can choose to visit the MFA or the Gardner Museum and we will drop you off at the door. The day is yours to browse the exhibits, have a wonderful lunch, shop in the museum shops, and not have to worry about the drive back to Rhode Island.

Private, Ranger-led tour of Old Slater Mill – Wednesday, December 4, 2024
More than thirty LLC members attended the private, ranger-led tour of Old Slater Mill in Pawtucket. The Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park staff were highly informative. Many gathered for lunch after the tour at Farm Fresh in Providence. A great time was had by all.






RISD Museum Tour led by museum educators – Friday, September 27, 2024
Thirty LLC members visited two art pieces (a sculpture and a painting) over a 90-minute period. The museum educators were highly knowledgeable, engaging, and responded enthusiastically to our many questions. Members thoroughly enjoyed this focused study, which helped them better understand, appreciate, and connect to the artwork.

Bus Trip to Peabody Essex Museum – April 2024

46 members visited the world-renowned Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. PEM is one of the oldest continuously operating museums in the United States and holds one of the major collections of Asian art in the United States. Its total holdings include about 1.3 million pieces. Before boarding the bus back to Rhode Island, the group was surrounded by a large crowd of others savoring the celestial phenomenon of the solar eclipse.
