Summer jazz class instructor Clay Nordhill has assembled a quartet of talented local musicians to present a concert marking the class’s last meeting, and all LLC members are invited to attend. Prior to the concert, attendees can enjoy a bag lunch* with other members and view a small exhibit featuring the work of the spring LLC Art classes – Cell Phone Photography Club, Open Studio Art, Paint Like a Woman, and Beautiful Black and White Photography
An accomplished jazz guitarist and composer, Clay is a graduate of URI with a focus on Jazz Performance. He has performed at the Newport Jazz Festival as well as at venues throughout the Northeast and has spent much of the last two years on tour, first with the national company of Annie and currently with Mrs. Doubtfire.
The Meeting Hall will open at noon so that members who would like to can bring their lunch*, visit with friends before the concert and enjoy the art exhibit.
The jazz concert will begin at 1 PM.
This event is free of charge to LLC members. All attendees must register in advance. Seating is limited, and registration will be closed when we reach capacity.
*If you plan to bring a bag lunch to enjoy before the concert, please observe the Temple’s food restrictions: Any food brought into the Temple must not include pork, pork products, or shellfish and should not mix meat and dairy in the same dish.
